Vinton County Fourth of July

The Vinton County Fourth of July Celebration is an annual tradition hosted by the VCHS Athletic Boosters. Our Celebration dates back over fifty years and predates the establishment of Vinton County High School and the Boosters. Before the formation of the Athletic Boosters, the event was hosted by the "Downtown Coaches League" and was a celebration that gathered all of the county school teams together to celebrate our nation. This year, on top of celebrating America's 250th birthday, we will be celebrating 60 years since the consolidation of the Vinton County Schools and crowning our 70th Miss Vinton County Queen - a tradition that dates back to the 1950 Vinton County Centennial Celebration! This event serves as a fundraiser for the Boosters and the money raised helps purchase uniforms for our Varsity Student Athletes.
