Fabulous Friday Speaker Series presented by Dr. Elaine Batenhorst. As part of the America 250: Buffalo County Celebration, the Buffalo County Historical Society invites the public to a special presentation exploring the Society’s Archives. This engaging program will highlight the history of the archives, the types of research available to the public, and the wide range of artifacts preserved in the collection. Attendees will also be introduced to family files, local genealogy resources, and other tools that help connect personal stories to the broader history of Buffalo County. The presentation will be held inside the Archives to encourage community members to explore and utilize the public research space firsthand. This program is ideal for local historians, genealogists, students, and anyone interested in discovering how individual stories contribute to the American story—an important theme of the America 250 commemoration.
