Celebrate early Colorado history and the American tradition of migration with a live action role-playing experience at Four Mile Historic Park. Experience life as an early traveler to Colorado. Four Mile's most popular field trip program, until now open only to school groups, takes over the Park for one day only! Start your journey by packing a covered wagon, then head over to the gold panning station for your chance to strike it rich! Pick up a snack pack (jerky and hard-tack, anyone?) available for purchase in the Four Mile Mercantile and learn to make butter before discovering the traditions of weaving, music, and Indigenous peoples of the American West. This event celebrates pre-Civil War American and Coloradan history and brings to light the good, the bad, and the ugly of early immigration to Colorado. This special program is $10 for all guests, open to all ages (discover your inner child at our animal station!) and made possible through the Four Mile volunteer community!
