Keep Riverside Clean and Beautiful
- Keep America Beautiful — Riverside, CA

Through collaboration with local nonprofit Ability Counts, Inc., Keep Riverside Clean and Beautiful (KRCB) creates a mutually beneficial partnership with individuals with intellectual disabilities to help maintain over 45 miles of city streets while gaining meaningful community integration.
KRCB, a Keep America Beautiful affiliate, is known as a leader in its region for anti-litter and community beautification programs. One of the most popular programs, Adopt-A-Street, allows local groups to support a road within the City of Riverside by either conducting six annual cleanups themselves or by donating to the program.
Ability Counts was founded in 1980 and aims to help individuals with intellectual disabilities gain the skills needed to access competitive employment opportunities and social integration. Since 2011, they have partnered with KRCB through the Adopt-A-Street program to promote community integration and inclusion. Individuals with diverse abilities gain hands-on experience, build outdoor employment skills and interact with local residents while meaningfully contributing to the upkeep of the City in addition to other volunteer efforts they provide throughout the Inland Empire.
Management has noted that program participants enjoy coming together to clean the City as well as the great opportunity that it presents to visit new places around town. To honor the commitment and ongoing monthly volunteer efforts of program participants, KRCB has contributed nearly $50,000 to Ability Counts since the partnership began. The groups continue to explore further opportunities for collaboration and growth together to uplift the community while keeping Riverside clean and beautiful.
