Peter Gichuru
Vice President of Finance
Peter Gichuru is responsible for planning and directing the finance and accounting operations of the America250 Foundation. In this role, he oversees all internal controls, budgeting, and monitoring of expenditure and cash flow.
Gichuru brings more than 30 years of experience to the Foundation, primarily in nonprofit finance and accounting. Prior to joining America250, Gichuru served as the director of finance for Millennium Water Alliance for 10 years. He also held finance roles at the United Nations World Food Program at its Nairobi, Kenya, office as well as World Relief Inc., a nonprofit organization based in Baltimore.
He is a certified public accountant and holds a master of science degree in business administration from Washington University.
